It tells us the story of Rani Lakshmi Bhai who refused to give up Jhansi and put up a brave fight against the British. Tipu Sultan was like a rock that could not be easily pushed over till he was betrayed by his own general. Rani Chennamma of Kittur's answer to the demands of the British rule was a major war against them. Velu Thampi was a brave man who did not tolerate the interference from the East India Company in the affairs of his state. Kunwar Singh may have been 75 years old, but this did not stop this strong individual from fighting the British. It is important for Indians to appreciate and known the story of these five individuals.
